New program offering: 4th of July Cycle

The work of reckoning and repair is required every day, and in every year – not just on July 4, 2026. But this year, as the nation marks its 250th anniversary, our community has a specific opportunity – and responsibility – to apply our reckoning muscles within our “white” communities. 

Through a national “Salute to America” task force and an FCC campaign to air “patriotic, pro-America content”, this federal administration is using the anniversary to promote the lie that the United States is great and guiltless, a myth that continues to perpetrate enormous harm against all beings and our planet. 

Will Reckon With’s participants stay silent as this spectacle unfolds? Will we engage in a way that further disconnects us from our families and communities? Or will we invite them into alternatives based in truth, courage, and repair? This Cycle is designed to support Reckon With participants to feel fortified and prepared to choose the latter.

This special cycle is made possible thanks to a partnership with Liberation Ventures. It has 6 sections, including one coaching meeting. Unlike in Cycle 1, the activities are not timed; each group will move through the Cycle at their own pace. Groups will start in May 2026 and conclude in July 2026.
